04 Aug INPUT REQUESTED: KDA seeks comments on revised grain warehouse program fees
In order to bridge a budget gap within the KDA’s grain warehouse inspection program and cover the costs of the program, the Kansas legislature passed a bill allowing the Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) to increase maximum grain warehouse bushel capacity fees on Kansas licensed facilities. The increased fee schedule will be set out in agency regulations.
KDA’s draft regulations are listed below, along with a summary of these and other proposed changes. KDA has asked your association to circulate these proposed changes to industry for comment. Please submit all comments to Randy Stookey (randy@kansasag.org) by Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
