21 Dec KGFA Working to halt negativve impacts of an extended rail crossing closure
Kansas Grain and Feed Association (KGFA) has been working behind the scenes, coordinating conversations between Governor Laura Kelly, the Kansas congressional delegation and the Biden Administration in response to U.S. Customs and Border Control (CBP) closing rail crossings at Eagle Pass, Texas and El Paso, Texas.
KGFA has been in frequent communication with the Kansas congressional delegation on the detriments an extended closure would have on the Kansas grain industry. To assist in your association’s efforts, KGFA also encourages you to contact your elected officials and respectfully request they pass along the negative business impacts you are experiencing to Dept. of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and the Biden Administration.
KGFA will continue to monitor and engage on the issue in efforts to re-open the crossings as soon as possible.
